k-os releases new mixtape, collaborates with Drake and Sebastien Grainger

Canadian rapper k-os has announced that he will release a 10-song mixtape on August 6 titled the Anchorman Mixtape. The digital-only format includes two collaborations with some other powerful Torontonians: “Faith,” with rapper Drake and “BlackWater” with soul multi-instrumentalist Sebastien Grainger, formerly of Death from Above 1979. Earlier this year k-os joined Drake on a US tour, check out his exclusive tour videos for AUX here.

Anchorman Mixtape will be posted on tour-tv.com for a limited time. And for the next few months, songs will be paired into one as double A-sides with bonus content. One will be “Faith/Blackwater” at the end of August.

Last week, k-os premiered the video for “Zambony,” which is off his 2009 album, YES!. It was directed by Director X and features appearances by Hayden Christensen and Tassja Dawn.
