Though not geographically associated nor musical similar, Fugazi rode a wave of success several of the alternative rock bands from the Pacific Northwest received during the early ’90s and despite being on an eight-year hiatus, the band has revealed plans to release all of their live performances online.

According to a post on the World of Fugazi fansite, the Washington, DC band’s guitarist Guy Picciotto said, “We are not that far away from being able to set up our own website where ultimately almost every show we ever played will be available for download.” Though no official word has been given from Dischord Records, Picciotto says the label is busy converting the bootlegs, which consists of shows between 1987 and 2002, to a digital format.

Previously the band released 30 live recordings as part of their Fugazi Live Series CD-Rs, where gigs in New York, Hong Kong and London were captured. With the potential release of all past concerts, word brewing of a Fugazi reunion has been on the lips of many, as the band never officially broke up. Their last album called The Argument was released in 2001.
