It has been two years since Brazilian band CSS bestowed upon the world a wildly rocking album both alternative rock aficionados and electro enthusiasts can converge to dance and shout to without changing the record. Donkey, their sophomore album was released around this time in 2008 on Sub Pop following their self-titled debut Cansei de Ser Sexy, released mid-decade.
Recently thanks to the band’s seeming obsession with social networking tools and websites, we have uncovered a bit of juice about their forthcoming album. A message late last month on their twitter page read, “OMG!!!!! WE ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW RECORD!!!!!! GAYS… YOU ARE GOING TO EXPLODE!!! XOOXOXOX.”
Suffice to say they’re pretty pumped about this new release and whether they care to note their debut succeeded their second release in terms of positive reviews, something memorable may be in store for listeners once it’s released. Speaking of which, no release date has been mentioned, but recent pictures posted on their website, updated quite frequently, shows some activity currently taking place in the studio.
