This morning's new music news; Snow Patrol plan to release a new album next year, Ryan Adams has penned 11 new songs inspired by heavy metal singer's funeral and Against Me!'s latest album is streaming on the net.

Snow Patrol “definitely” have their sights set on releasing a new album next year following 2008’s A Hundred Million Suns. In an interview with Daily Record lead singer Gary Lightbody said the band are finding new inspiring places to write music. “We write on the tour bus, in dressing rooms, in the studio and in phone boxes because no one is using them because everyone has mobile phones.” [Daily Record]

Singer/songwriter Ryan Adams has written 11 new songs inspired by his recent presence at the funeral of the late heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio. “Day after Dio’s funeral they just fell out,” he said. “Soft mellow acoustic jams – lots of New Orleans scenery and vibe from the trip.” Dio died of stomach cancer last month. He was 67. [NME]

And Against Me!’s latest album White Crosses, is currently streaming online in its entirety at Exclaim!. The disc drops today and is the band’s first with ex-Hot Water Music drummer George Rebelo. It will be streaming until June 14. [Exclaim!]
