This morning's new music news; Radiohead drummer Phil Selway is set to release his first solo album, the initial lineup for this year's Bumbershoot Festival has been announced and Salem's debut album called King Night will come out this September.
Radiohead drummer Phil Selway is set to release his first solo album on August 30 in the UK called Familial. Joining Selway during his solo sessions was Lisa Germano, Sebastian Steinberg, Glenn Kotche and multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone. [Exclaim!]
Celebrating its 40th anniversary, Bob Dylan, Weezer, Hole, Mary J. Blige, The Decemberists, Neko Case and Rise Against among others have been announced to play this year’s Bumbershoot Festival. The event will take place in Seattle from September 4-6. [Bumbershoot]
And Chicago/Michigan trio Salem will release their debut album entitled King Night on September 28. The band have released a few singles over the past few years and have become known as pioneers of the genre called ‘witch-house.’ [Pitchfork]
