This morning in new music; Kanye West has announced the official release date for this upcoming album 'Good Ass Job,' Arizona boycott group the Sound Strike has added a few more musicians to its cause and Los Campesinos! drummer Ollie Campesinos! has left the band.

Kanye West’s fifth studio album called Good Ass Job will be officially released on September 14. The rapper had help on the production side of the album from Q-Tip, Pete Rock and RZA from the Wu Tang Clan. The track “Power,” thought to be the first single leaked online earlier this month. [NME]

The Sound Strike, a group spearheaded by Rage Against The Machine’s Zach de la Rocha set up to promote the boycott of the state of Arizona over its immigration law SB 1070, has added a few more musicians to its cause. Nine Inch Nails, My Morning Jacket, Gogol Bordello, Steve Earle, Chris Rock, Billy Bragg, DJ Spooky, and Throwing Muses have all pledged to avoid performing in the state until the bill is lifted. And Los Campesinos! drummer Ollie Campesinos! has left the band. In a post on the band’s official website he said, “I want to thank every one of you that has ever taken any time to take interest in us.  Whether it’s coming to a gig, buying a record or merely reading my food reviews.  If it weren’t for you guys and gals we would have faded out a long time ago.” [Exclaim!]
