This morning's new music news; Blink 182 will head back into the studio to start recording their sixth studio album in the fall, The Hives will release a covers EP called 'Tarred and Feathered,' and No Age will follow their impressive 'Nouns' album from 2008 with the Sub Pop released 'Everything in Between.'

Blink 182 have revealed they’ll head into the studio in the fall to start recording their sixth studio album following 2003’s self titled release. The band will finish their European tour and then play one North American date at California’s Epicenter Twenty Ten Festival in September, which will be their last show of this year. “All of us have ideas from before and after the tour last summer,” bassist Mark Hoppus said. “And are excited to get into the studio and see those ideas come to light. Simple as that.” [NME]

The Hives will release a “surprise” three-song EP of cover songs this July called Tarred and Feathered. The EP contains covers of “Civilization’s Dying” by the Zero Boys, “Early Morning Wake Up Call” by Flash and the Pan, and “Nasty Secretary” by Joy Ryder & Avis Davis. The band’s last album was The Black and White Album from 2007. [Exclaim!]

And No Age will release their third album this September entitled Everything in Between on Sub Pop. Their sophomore disc, Nouns was released in 2008 to very positive reviews. Speaking about the forthcoming album guitarist Randy Randall said, “It’s not a whole lot different than from what we have done in the past; there’s no big departures. But the creative process is evolving more.” [Pitchfork]
