This morning's new music news; Bjork and Dirty Projectors have teamed up and are set to release a collaborative EP called 'Mount Wittenberg Orca,' Weezer are already writing their next album following 'Raditude,' and The Offspring are currently in the studio working on their ninth studio album.

Bjork and Dirty Projectors will release a collaborative EP on June 30 called Mount Wittenberg Orca. The album will feature songs originally written for a benefit concert held last year with all proceeds from the release going to help marine conservation. Dirty Projectors’ David Longstreth said, “We’re working with the National Geographic Society to create areas of sustainability, so the oceans don’t end up like a giant poisonous corpse hugging the continents.” [NME]

Still out touring their last album Raditude, Weezer frontman Rivers Como has revealed he has already started writing songs for the band’s next album, which includes a guest appearance from Ryan Adams. In a interview with MTV Como said, “People are going to be hearing new Weezer very soon. I just wrote a song with Ryan Adams. It’s a very stirring and emotional and powerful Weezer song.” [MTV]

And The Offspring are busy recording their ninth studio album following 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. Speaking with Billboard guitarist Kevin Wasserman, otherwise known as “Noodles” said, “We’ve only got the one song that’s close to being done and…five or six songs that I’d say are close. We want to get this record out as soon as possible, so we work at it, but at the same time you don’t want to put out something that’s not great.” [Billboard]
