This morning in new music; Jay-Z is being sued for $250,000 by a private jet company stemming from an unpaid flight last year, Stars have announced a North American tour for the Fall and The Beach Boys will not be reuniting with Brian Wilson for their upcoming 50th anniversary tour.

A private jet company is suing Jay-Z for $250,000. Air Platinum, a Miami-based company who offered celebrities luxury concierge service and have since collapsed, claim he owes them $137,000 and are seeking a further $100,000 in damages. Apparently the bill comes from a trip the rapper took last year where he flew 18 hours. [NME]

Stars have announced their Fall North American tour, which includes 7 Canadian dates in support of the recently released album The Five Ghosts. Before that the band will be playing a few festival gigs this summer at Ottawa Bluesfest, Hillside, Osheaga as well as a in-store performance/autograph signing at the HMV on Queen Street West in Toronto on July 24. For the complete list of tour dates visit the band’s official website. [Stars]

This past week there was talk of Brian Wilson reuniting with the Beach Boys for an upcoming 50th anniversary tour, however member Mike Love has put the idea to rest via a post on their official website. The post reads, “The Beach Boys continue to tour approximately 150 shows a year in multiple countries. At this time there are no plans for my cousin Brian to rejoin the tour.  He has new solo projects on the horizon and I wish him love and success.” [Exclaim!]
