This morning's new music news; Music journalist Nick Kent has helped Keith Richards "fill in" his upcoming autobiography, Belle and Sebastian have announced their first North American tour since 2008 and Dirty Projectors will also be touring North America late summer with dates in Toronto and Montreal.

Rock writer Nick Kent has helped Keith Richards write his autobiography, which is currently in the proof reading stages. Richards hopes to release the book this October. Speaking about the collaboration Kent said, “I helped fill in the early ’70s, when things got really, really bad. I can understand why he forgot all about it. It just wasn’t pleasant.” [NME]

Belle and Sebastian will return to North America this fall for their first tour since 2008. Their only scheduled Canadian performance will be at Toronto’s Massey Hall on October 12. The band’s as-yet-untitled upcoming album is nearing its final stages of completion. It is expected to be released later this year. [Exclaim!]

And staying with tour news, Dirty Projectors have scheduled a short North American tour this summer/fall starting in August at Lollapalooza in Chicago. Their Canadian dates on the tour include Montreal on September 14 and Toronto the next day. Supporting them on both nights will be Happy Birthday. [Pitchfork]
