This morning in new music; Jack White and Conan O'Brien are working on something special, the King Khan & BBQ show has split and Daniel Lanois is in intensive care after his motorcycle crash in Los Angeles last weekend.

“Jack White & I are doing something cool tomorrow night. Hint: it involves a LOT of Tears for Fears songs,” said a post on Conan O’Brien’s Twitter page yesterday. A video of White putting up a an advertisement poster of O’Brien outside his label Third Man’s headquarters in Nashville is also shown. Conan will continue his Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television Tour at Bonnaroo this weekend. [Pitchfork]

After their second performance on tour in Australia the garage-punk team known as the King Khan & BBQ show have apparently split. During said show, King Khan spilled wine on-stage and threw his guitar into the crowd after he was warned the previous night about throwing a rubber snake and letting audience members dance on the stage. Khan was subsequently kicked out of the festival and according to a the Daily Swarm he said, “returning to the backstage I opened the door to a scowling BBQ…. A HUGE SCREAMING MATCH ensued and so went the demise of the King Khan & BBQ show…. we agreed that this would be the last show ever. Wow…. what a way to die!!!!” [Exclaim]

And Daniel Lanois is currently in the intensive care unit after he crashed his motorcycle in the Silverlake section of Los Angeles last weekend. As we previously reported, Lanois has canceled his summer tour dates. “Look, I got a lot of broken bones,” Lanois said to music writer Larry Leblanc. [New York Times]
