Although you may not have heard of Guelph, Ontario’s Memoryhouse, there’s no arguing that they have been making a big splash in the international indie music scene as of late. Based solely on the bedroom-recorded The Years EP and a few new singles, the duo- now trio- has been popping up on sites from all around the world, including Pitchfork, Stereogum, Magic RPM and right here on AUX TV. This week, the band announced two tours happening this summer. First, Memoryhouse will be taking a trip across the pond to tour the UK and Europe. While there, they’ll be playing shows with Grizzly Bear, Efterklang, Toro Y Moi, fellow Canadian Diamond Rings and even a festival with the likes of Jay Z, Arcade Fire, Muse and Vampire Weekend.

Immediately after, the band embarks on a short stint of California shows, supported by Baths, Nite Jewel, and Kisses. Then, in August, Memoryhouse will join Twin Sister on a Co-headlining tour across the U.S., which should be one of the most buzzed about tours of the summer. Both bands’ unique blend of dream pop and indie rock should make these shows a pretty hazy and floaty night.

Canadians can catch Memoryhouse on June 21st at Hamilton’s This Ain’t Hollywood, and on August 7th at Kingston’s Wolfe Island Music Festival, with The Weakerthans, Shad, Diamond Rings, and Handsome Furs.

Fans who can’t make it to the Wolfe Island Music Festival or any of the other international dates can keep up to date with the band via their tour blog, found exclusively on AUX TV. Twice a week we’ll have new posts from Memoryhouse, featuring pictures and videos from the road
