Back in May Interpol released the track “Lights” from their forthcoming self-titled album as a free download so many fans of the band have probably already listened to it a couple times, or once depending on how big a fan they are. They have not however seen the new music video nor anything similar to what goes on in it. For those who didn’t quite catch the fine print at the beginning it reads, “Deep within the inner chambers of the Three-homed Rhinoceros Beetle (Chalcosoma causcasus) , a closely guarded pheromone-harvesting ritual is about to begin.”

The upcoming is the band’s forth studio album and is set for release on September 14. It is their last album with bassist Carlos D who has since been replaced by Dave Pajo. This record follows 2007’s Our Love to Admire.
