Brooklyn’s Dirty Projectors have recorded a cover of Bob Dylan’s “I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine” from his 1968 album John Wesley Harding as part of the Levi’s Pioneer Sessions. Other artists such as The Swell Season and most recently She & Him have also recorded songs for Levi’s. The track is available to download from free from the Pioneer Sessions website. A behind the scenes video (below) of the band recording the song has also been released.

Dirty Projectors’ last album Bitte Orca, release last year, is still making the rounds and drawing fans looking for a more experimental type of alternative/indie rock music. The band will be touring this summer in North America and Europe with gigs at several festivals including Glastonbury, Oxegen, T in the Park and Lollapalooza. No Canadian dates have been announced.
