Plants and Animals are in the precarious position of releasing their sophomore full length album, a follow up to the celebrated debut, Parc Avenue. Parc Avenue was written in Montreal, La La Land however, was deeply influenced by the band’s experiences on the road – California to be specific. Watch the new episode of What We See Is What You Get with Plants and Animals above.

We met Warren Spicer and Nicolas Basque at the Horseshoe Tavern and convinced them to let us take them on an aimless walk around the street to look at guitars.  La La Land is of course not entirely drawn from LA, it’s a collection of songs, Warren explained, that seem to look like a bigger more defined picture in retrospect.

This is different episode of What We See is What You Get – It doesn’t feature a performance by the band. Let us know what you think of this interview only format in the comments. Does it hold up without a live performance?
