This morning's new music news; Brandon Flowers has released some details about his new solo album "Flamingo," the soundtrack for the upcoming Twilight movie has been announced and Jay-Z is set to release a new compilation album.

The Killers’ Brandon Flowers has revealed some details of his upcoming solo project, which includes a collaboration with Rilo Kiley singer Jenny Lewis. As we mentioned before, the title of the album is Flamingo and it is set to come out this autumn. In an interview with NME, Flowers spoke about some song titles and which producers he was working with such as Daniel Lanois (Bob Dylan, U2) and Brendan O’Brien (Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen). The soundtrack for the next Twilight movie called Eclipse has been announced. Like the last soundtrack, which included Thom Yorke, Beach House and Grizzly Bear, it’s again a very hip disc with the likes of Vampire Weekend, Beck, The Black Keys, Florence and the Machine and The Dead Weather. Metric, in collaboration with Howard Shore, have composed the main theme. [FACT]

And Jay-Z will release a compilation album of his most popular tracks entitled The Hits Collection Vol. 1, due out June 29. A new website has been set up for the disc and provides a hint of what songs may be on the album through an audio player at the top of the page. [Pitchfork]
