New York’s Cold Cave have successfully mastered the fine balance between the simplicity of classic dark wave and the accessibility of retro pop, earning attention for their synth-driven sound and melodies reminiscent of popular electronic 80’s acts. Previously hailing from Philadelphia, the group was founded by former hardcore vocalist Wesley Eishold, and was soon rounded out by Jennifer Clavan (of Mika Miko), Dominick Fernow and Guy Licatta after minimal lineup changes throughout 2009 and 2010.

Currently signed to Matador Records, the label re-released the band’s debut LP, What’s Your Rapture? late last year, and following countless North American and European stops throughout 2010, the group is slated to appear at All Tomorrow’s Parties in May – the UK-based festival curated by Simpsons creator Matt Groening who selected the group personally.
