Canadian hip-hop artist extraordinaire K-OS has not only worked to bring newfound respect to the art of Canadian rap, but has substantially added to the country’s musical diversity, proving that artists that hail from Canada aren’t to be confined to only one aspect of indie.
Canadian hip-hop artist extraordinaire K-OS has not only worked to bring newfound respect to the art of Canadian rap, but has substantially added to the country’s musical diversity, proving that artists that hail from Canada aren’t to be confined to only one aspect of indie. Also a songwriter, singer and producer, K-OS has earned accolades from critics and audiences on both sides of the border, who continue to be impressed by his original technique, sound and attitude, as well as his involvement in various charities.
Having released his fourth studio album, Yes! to critical acclaim in April of last year, K-OS spent much of 2009 on tour, while 2010 has seen him perform at the Olympic Closing Ceremonies as well as joining Drake on his North American tour. Set to headline his own shows at the end of May, K-OS will undoubtedly continue his legacy of original artistry, further solidifying himself as an important national figure.
