Alabama folk artist AA Bondy (formerly of Verbana) has worked to successfully create a distinctly North American brand of folk that promotes the essence of American artistry without catering to its stereotypes or two-dimensional caricatures.  Having released his first solo LP, American Hearts to warm reception in 2007, he went on to release its follow up, When the Devil’s Loose in September of 2009 to further critical celebration.

Signed to Fat Possum Records, Bondy’s solo offerings have proven his diversity as an artist, having been cited as a departure from his previous work, and drawing new audiences in addition to his existing fans.   With dates scheduled throughout 2010, Bondy’s homage to his heritage will be shared by many, with his flair for musical storytelling contributing to the year’s artistic originality as well as to its celebration of various genres.
