Thom Yorke Covers Joy Division

Earlier this week Thom Yorke and his Atoms for Peace band played a show at the Fox Theatre in Oakland. As part of the second encore, Yorke and the band returned to the stage and launched into a cover of Joy Division’s most notorious single “Love Will Tear Us Apart,” which appears on the compilation album Substance. Despite the poor sound quality, we can still make out Yorke doing a very good Ian Curtis especially when gripping the microphone so fiercely. The only thing he’s lacking however is Curtis’ patented dance moves.
