In an interview with New York magazine, The strokes’ Fab Moretti has said their upcoming album is turning out “a lot more like the first record,” 2001’s Is This It. “The second and the third were kind of made within the schedule of just whatever the fuck we were doing at the time,” he said. “But now, because we’ve had the time to kind of just chill out, we got the chance to just kind of jam it out with each other.” [NYMag]

And The Dead Weather will perform their new album Sea of Cowards live in its entirety and broadcast it over their MySpace page. The band will take the stage at Jack White’s Third Man Records at 6 p.m. EST this Monday (May 3). The album will be released on May 11. [Exclaim!]
