This morning's new music news; Liam Gallagher's post Oasis band set to release first single next October, Nine Inch Nail's Pretty Hate Machine will be re-released and the Beatles' song "Paperback Writer" will be re-issued on vinyl for record store day.

Liam Gallagher’s post Oasis group, titled Oasis 2.0 or something like that, will release their debut single this October. In an interview with Short List, Gallagher has revealed the band are currently recording their album this month and hope to release it in June of next year. Speaking directly about the album, Gallagher said, “There’s enough inspiration out there, just looking at all these other sh*t bands. People are gonna be surprised, it’s a lot more musical than Oasis.” [ShortList]

Nine Inch Nail’s 1989 debut album Pretty Hate Machine, now out of print, will be re-released on TVT Records. However it seems financial difficulties will block any sort of goodies to come with the release. “I would like to have a 5.1 version,” Reznor said on the NIN Hotline. “I’ll do extra songs. I’ll redo the packaging. Everything. But I’m not doing it for free. They’re not willing to pay, so they put out whatever they put out. That’s that.” [Exclaim!]

And speaking of re-issues or re-releases, The Beatles’ classic song “Paperback Writer” will be re-issued on vinyl to celebrate record store day on April 17. This is one of 12 new vinyl singles being released across the UK. As it was originally, the track will be backed with the B-side “Rain.” [live4ever]
