Bob Dylan is banned from China. The singer was denied approval to play gigs in both Beijing and Shanghai after Ministry of Culture officials apparently leaned of Dylan’s past in the “counterculture movement”. Unfortunately for Dylan fans in Asia it means he’s had to cancel dates in South Korea and Taiwan as well. [The Guardian]

War Child has brought together Vivian Girls, MGMT, Duran Duran and A Place to Bury Strangers for a David Bowie tribute album titled, Repetition – A Tribute to David Bowie.  The two-disc set will be released in September.  [Prefix]
