Sun Kil Moon’s new album entitled Admiral Fell Promises will be released on July 13. The disc, the fourth by Mark Kozelek, features 10 songs of original material that will be released digitally and on vinyl, which includes liner notes and two bonus tracks. Purchases through Caldo Verde, Kozelek’s own label will receive a free 4 song EP called I’ll Be There that includes covers of Stereolab, Casiontone for the Painfully Alone and The Jackson 5. Calgary band Women are currently working on their sophomore album after releasing their self titled debut back in 2008. “It doesn’t have a title,” guitarist Chris Reimer said in an interview with Exclaim!, “and to be perfectly honest none of the songs have proper titles; they all have two or three working titles. Nothing’s been named yet, but it’ll get there eventually.” The band are working with producer Chad VanGaalen and hope to release the new disc sometime in the fall. [Exclaim!]

And Poison singer Bret Michaels is in critical condition after suffering a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage last Thursday. Michaels was in the hospital earlier this month for an emergency appendectomy. He was recently featured on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice. [People]
