This morning's new music news; Details of Malcolm McLaren's funeral have been announced, Soundgarden play their first gig in 13 years and Blur's new single "Fool's Day" is currently available for download from the band's website.

Details of the funeral for the late Malcolm McLaren have been announced with the former Pistols manager to be buried at London’s Highgate cemetery this Thursday. According to a statement made by McLaren’s son Joseph Corre on a human rights charity website, members of the public are invited to pay their respects and observe a ‘minute of mayhem’ in McLaren’s honor at noon that day. This past weekend Soundgarden played their first show in 13 years. The Seattle bred quartet recently reunited and have an upcoming gig at this year’s Lollapallooza Festival. The band kicked off the show at The Showbox in their hometown with the classic “Spoonman.” [Ear Candy]

And Blur’s new single “Fool’s Day” is currently available as a free download from the band’s website. The song was recorded for Record Store Day and sold out on limited edition 7″ vinyl in the UK. [Blur]
