Spike Jonze and Arcade Fire Working On Short Film

Spike Jonze, Director of Where the Wild Things Are and Being John Malkovitch, is set to team up with Canada’s Arcade Fire on an upcoming short film.

After rumors on Friday, Jonze’s rep confirmed that he and the band would be collaborating on a short creative project. This news should come as no surprise as Jonze not only used Arcade Fire’s “Wake Up” to score the trailer for Where The Wild Things Are, but he has also collaborated with musicians on short films in the past (see We Were Once a Fairy Tale starring Kanye West).

As /Film reported on friday, the director will be in Austin, TX to do a short film with Arcade Fire based on the concept of friends growing apart. Look out for Arcade Fire on tour this summer, playing various festivals throughout the country, including a headlining spot at Osheaga this July.
