Smashing Pumpkins Perform Teargarden Song on Leno

Last Night the Smashing Pumpkins, or shall I say just Billy Corgan, performed the song “Widow Wake My Mind” from Teargarden by Kaleidyscope Vol. 1: Songs for a Sailor. The album, which will be the first of many, comes in a wooden box with the 4 song CD, a 7″ vinyl with two additional songs and a hand-carved stone obelisk and will be released on May 25.
The song and the performance seems a little more mature than Corgan’s past Pumpkins or Zwan material. The free spirited Church choir and two little girls from the Shining he has joining his band fit as nicely as his crooked cap he likes touching. It’s no Siamese Dream, but we’ve heard harsher things.
Stay tuned to the band’s official website as all 44 of the songs off the Teargarden project will be released individually for free download from the site.
