Mumford And Sons are currently playing a string of sold out shows oversees and will head to North America next month to play more sold out gigs. Recently in an interview with NME, frontman Marcus Mumford has said the band will release a new EP of bluegrass songs later this year that follows their recently released debut studio album Sigh No More.

“The idea is just to let our hair down a little, have a bit more of a country wig-out,” Mumford said. “Two of them [songs] were written before the album [Sigh No More], but we felt like they just didn’t belong there, and a few of them have been written since. But then there’s one where half of it is a really old song of ours that we’re going to try out.”

This spring/summer the band will play festivals down south and overseas including Sasquatch, Bonnaroo, Glastonbury, Oxegen, T In The Park and the Reading and Leeds festivals.
