Great Lake Swimmers To Play Free Show May 1st

This past Record Store Day Great Lake Swimmers released a limited edition EP titled The Legion Sessions. The recording was taken from a performance at the Royal Canadian Legion Pub in February of 2009. This Saturday the band will celebrate the release with a  show at Toronto’s Legion. Admission is free with the purchase of any Great Lake Swimmers CD from Criminal Records, Rotate This, Sonic Boom or Soundscapes.

The band’s latest studio album, their fourth, Lost Channels came out last year and was shortlisted for a Polaris Music Prize and was also nominated for a Juno Award for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year.

Space for the upcoming show is extremely limited however the band will be playing another show in Toronto on May 3 at the Hot House Cafe as part of a short North American tour. Check out the episode of Camera Music featuring Great Lake Swimmers below.
