Born Ruffians have released a video for the lead single off their forthcoming album Say It, due out June 1. The video for “What to Say” was a collaboration between director Jared Raab and artist/computer programmer Rob Bairos and was recorded entirely off a vintage Oscilloscope, an instrument used for viewing voltages. “There was a great deal of trial an error involved in finding what worked and what didn’t,” Raab said. “We were constantly experimenting to try to make the best use of the scope’s eccentricities.”
The single will be released digitally on May 4 and includes the previously unreleased b-side “Plinky Plonky.” A North American tour has been scheduled that starts in Toronto at the end of May and will conclude in Peterborough near the end of June.
