This morning's music news; The Libertines reunite for Reading and Leeds, The Chemical Brothers announce their new album called Further and Saint Etienne will reissue the albums Tiger Bay and Finisterre.

The Libertines have announced that they will reunite to play at least two major English festival this summer, Reading and Leeds. It has been six years since the band were last onstage, however they’ve all been keeping busing in the meantime with Pete Doherty working with his side project Babyshambles and the others forming the band Dirty Pretty Things. Speaking about the return, Doherty told NME, “I’ve been chomping at the bit for a while now [to reunite]. Potentially it’s a fucking disaster, so we’ve agreed to be honest with each other… rather than walk up in silence and let things get messy and complicated, just be honest.” [NME]

New material from The Chemical Brothers will be released in the form of an eight audio track album called Further. Set to come out June 7, the disc follows 2007’s We Are The Night and word is each song will be accompanied with a film. The band will preview the new songs at their next scheduled London gigs at the Roundhouse in Camden. [Gigwise]

And Saint Etienne will reissue two more albums from the bands back catalog with 1994’s Tiger Bay and 2002’s Finisterre. Both packages will include two CD’s with original songs and other unreleased tracks and B-sides. They will be released on May 3. [Pitchfork]
