This morning's music news; The Black Keys plan the release of 'Brothers', Pavement plays their first show in 10 years and Brian Eno is back at work with Coldplay.

The Black Keys will released their sixth album, Brothers, on May 18. Producer Danger Mouse returned for the track “Tighten Up” while the rest of the album was produced by members Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach themselves. The band plans to go on tour this summer however only a handful of dates have been posted including an appearance at Bonnaroo. [Pitchfork]

Last night Pavement reunited to play a show for the first time in 10 years at the Town Hall in Auckland, New Zealand. This was the first show of their world tour that takes them to Australia and Japan before heading to North America to play Coachella, Sasquatch! and Toronto Island. The band kicked off the set with the song “In the Mouth of a Desert” off 1992’s Slanted and Enchanted. [Spin]

And producer Brian Eno is back working on the new Coldplay album and says it could be released this Christmas. Eno produced 2008’s Viva La Vida and speaking about the new material Eno said, “It’s quite different from anything they’ve done before … so far, anyway. I don’t know how it will end up being, but it’s very fresh.” [BBC]
