Lineup Announced For Newport Folk Festival

The lineup for the 51st annual Newport Folk Festival, taking place July 31-August 1 at Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island has been announced. This year’s lineup includes Andrew Bird, Calexico, the Swell Season, John Prine, Levon Helm’s Ramble on the Road, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Pete Seegar and many others. Seegar was present for the festival’s most notorious moment in 1965 when then folk hero Bob Dylan played an electric set with The Paul Butterfield Blues Band.
