This morning in the news; The Strokes know how to keep themselves in the news, new details on Stooges' Raw Power re-release and Dr. Dre sues Death Row Records.

In what might be his last solo tour for awhile, The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas has announced some new dates starting in March. Casablancas will stop in Toronto and Montreal before heading out to play Coachella in support of Phrazes for the Young, his debut solo album released last year. The Strokes are currently in the studio at work on their new album. [Brooklyn Vegan]

Details have been released of the reissue of Iggy and the Stooges 1973 album, Raw Power. The box-set, due out April 13, will feature three CD’s including several unreleased tracks from a bootlegged live Atlanta show from 1973. Two weeks later a Deluxe Edition will be released which contains the CD’s, photo prints, 7-inch artwork, DVD and an essay by Henry Rollins. [NME]

And Dr. Dre has sued Death Row Records claiming the label released a new version of his first album, The Chronic, without permission and failed to pay royalties. The lawsuit states that WIDEawake Death Row Records has sold digital copies of the album without having the proper rights. Dre’s lawsuit seeks damages of more than $75,000. [Yahoo!]
