The folks at Pitchfork just couldn't sit idly by and let this little quartet-that-could pass without a hitch. Enter the trusted, highly revered or snobbish depending how you look at it, Pitchfork review panel which gave the album an obliterating 2.1 score.

English folk band Mumford and Sons released their full length debut this week titled Sigh No More and have 15 sold out shows on their current tour in support of it. The folks at Pitchfork just couldn’t sit idly by and let this little quartet-that-could pass without a hitch. Enter the trusted, highly revered or snobbish depending how you look at it, Pitchfork review panel which gave the album an obliterating 2.1 score. Who knows where that .1 came from. Perhaps it was a compliment to the lovely paint job on the house the four lads are standing in on the album cover? Describing them as ‘playing dress-up in threadbare clothes,’ we here at AUX couldn’t sit idly by either and had to write a response in hopes The Onion will in turn write another ‘Pitchfork knows all and sees all’ piece we can all chuckle at.
