According to The Globe and Mail, about 40 Canadian musicians are secretly recording a new version of K’naan’s song “Wavin’ Flag” to be released as a benefit single to support Haiti relief efforts. The song is also the official anthem for this year’s World Cup in South Africa. Some of the names revealed so far are Bryan Adams, Feist, Emily Haines, Ron Sexsmith and Colin James. Canadian music producer Bob Ezrin, who worked on Pink Floyd’s The Wall, is fronting the project with all proceeds going to Free the Children, War Child Canada and World Vision.
