The Dudes play rock music with love drenched lyrics and catchy guitar riffs. It’s pretty much impossible not to completely enjoy yourself during their live set. We've got photos from their Toronto show, a free download and a full review after the jump.

Calgary’s, The Dudes have been on our radar ever since we caught them in a episode of CBC Radio 3’s R3TV. The Dudes play rock music with love drenched lyrics and catchy guitar riffs. Like their name suggests, this is an all guy, shamelessly masculine outfit that sing about girls and don’t take themselves too seriously – that is to say they know how to have a good time and it’s pretty much impossible not to completely enjoy yourself during their live set. The Dudes played two back to back gigs at Toronto’s Dakota Tavern, supported by Mohawk Lodge, a favorite of Chris from indiemusicfilter, who joined us for the night. Take a minute to check out Mohawk Lodge’s myspace and have a listen to Wear ‘Em Out – It will immediately find it’s way onto your ipod.

To prepare for the double header, The Dudes unleashed a very cool scavenger hunt around Toronto using their twitter and facebook profiles which earned some lucky fans entry into the show and some drinks. Not every band can pull off something like that, but if anybody can, it’s The Dudes. Head over here for a free download of Pretty Lies, one of the best tracks off Blood Guts Bruises Cuts.

Catch The Dudes live:
