Hollerado wins $250,000

Hollerado took home the grand prize artist development funds announced yesterday before immediately hopping on a plane to Beijing to begin their second tour of China. The “Big Money Shot” took place at Ottawa’s Capital Music Hall and was sponsored by International Musicland and West 49. AUX was in attendance at their Horseshoe performance on Thursday evening where the band opened for Montreal’s Malajube. With thirteen dates book across China in December, a TV pilot in development and one day off in between a performance in Hong Kong and a homecoming show in Toronto, while it wont buy as much beer as 250k, Hollerado definitely wins the AUX New Music prize for hardest working band – our marketing coordinator Nic will mail a plaque or at least a t-shirt out upon request).
