Josh’s Pick: Tom Waits, Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards buy on itunes
Why: Orphans was released by ANTI- Records in 2006 and epitomizes the past ten years of Wait’s career. Collectors will be pleased to hear that it will be coming out on vinyl in December.
Melody’s Pick: Tegan and Sara, Sainthood buy on itunes
Why: Sainthood picks up where The Con left off, and marks the first time Tegan and Sara collaborated on an album. Sainthood takes more of Tegan’s punk rock – all the songs are really catchy and upbeat.
Paul’s Pick: Various Artists, Dark Was The Night buy on itunes
Why: What makes Dark Was The Night different than other compilations is that it’s not done with b sides and tracks that bands couldn’t really use or that odd live song that really has no place, this is done with what we would call all A side material, and it does have an incredible line up.
