MGMT cut their gig short Sunday night at the Manchester Apollo after drummer Will Berman was hit in the mid section by a cup full of urine, reports WENN.
The band was performing the track “The Handshake” off their major label debut Oracular Spectacular when the incident occurred. Berman left the stage unannounced and forced the band to finish their set without a drummer. They did not return for an encore.
Similar incidents have happened to other major label bands in recent months such as Kings of Leon, who had to leave the stage because pigeons were “shitting in Jared’s mouth” while Guns N’ Roses were bottled off stage by Irish fans in Dublin.
